There's a raised area with a piano that Lucifer usually plays - he prefers classical pieces or ones he has composed himself, but his repertoire isn't limited to that. Whether he takes requests or not depends on his mood, but he doesn't allow anyone else to play.
In addition to a full bar, Lux is the place to go to for expensive and even famous vintages of brandy, wine, scotch, etc. Lucifer is fond of that sort of thing, so naturally he stocks them. He can also cater to unusual requests, though for that, you might have to speak directly to him instead of the bartenders.
Also, if your character is magically sensitive, the place practically glows with magic. It's larger on the inside than the outside and he's prone to redecorating with magic. There are quite a few protective spells on the place and these are particularly noticeable because he used his blood for them, so they pretty much declare that this is his territory to those who can see that kind of thing (you might also get an idea of vast power from them). "
Having "inherited" Lux from Lucifer, the bar is now aglow with a unique mix of devil and angel magic, all designed to protect and proudly proclaim that this establishment is owned by someone who can pack quite a punch. Essentially a silent "don't fuck with me" to anyone who's smart enough to pay it any heed.
Kal has taken painstaking care to remodel Lux in a more modern manner while keeping the previous theme alive. The colors of dark brown, black and burgundy remain, creating a closed and intimate atmosphere while sharp corners and angles provide a sense of modern design. The drapes remain but in a pointed artistic fashion rather than anything practical, to create a sense of flow in the room as well as provide a nice accent to the walls. In the center of the bar sitting upon the raised platform is the piano that Lux is famous for, though no one plays it now. It is literally the first thing anyone will see upon entering, like a silent homage to the previous owner.
To the left of the piano is the bar itself, which is the only well lit part of the entire establishment. The back wall on the bar is illuminated to show off their selection of fine liquor both human and alien based.
To the right of the piano is a black, spiral staircase accented with gold on the railing which leads to what is now a second story of Lux. The second level opens out onto a view of the piano and is, like everything else in the bar, focused on giving a clear view of the platform. As you can imagine, this section of the bar is reserved for favored clientele or those with deep enough pockets to empty it. Curiously, there seems to be a sound barrier between the two floors. While on the first floor, you will never hear any conversations from above and vice-versa. However, anyone who stands atop the platform while performing will discover that while they cannot hear anything beyond the steps of the raised area until they are finished playing, their music can be heard by both levels of the bar.
This is the bar's new logo.
